Cloned dogs fight drugs

Good news for the fight against drugs. In South Korea, one of the best drug-sniffing dogs in the country was cloned for airport drug-trafficking support. There are now six clones and one mother, all named Toppy (Tomorrow's Puppy). They can only be told apart visually by microchips implanted in their ears. These amazing dogs will help immensely in the fight against drug trafficking in South Korea. America should definitely adopt this method if you ask me. If we ever hope to get a handle on drugs, science and technology must lead the way. Go Toppy(s)!!

G.I. held hostage by Taliban

Sad news today as a video has hit the internet of a young U.S. Marine in captivity of Taliban forces in Afghanistan. This is a very disturbing video although no violence is shown. This young soldier is completely at the mercy of his captors and there is no telling when or if he will ever be released. With a hostage as leverage, demands from the Taliban are sure to follow. I truly hope he makes it home safe. The mystery behind how he managed to get off base is troubling to U.S. Marine officials. If he willingly left, as numerous reports are claiming, there are several question he will need to answer upon his return. Stand strong soldier.

Rainwater saves a young hiker lost for 12 days

Great story here, and probably one we can all relate to. We've all been in fights with loved ones and said things that we wish we hadn't. But we rarely stop and think about the possibility of never seeing that person again before making a mends. Well in this story, a father and son had a huge fight, the son left on an adventure in the woods and didn't show up for almost two weeks. The father believed his son to be dead, but luckily he was wrong. His son was found 12 days later. He told the rescue team he had survived by drinking rainwater and eating weeds. What a relief for both of them. I have a strange feeling, this experience will bring them much closer together. Well lets hope so anyway .

Great news today as Michael Phelps broke the 100-meter butterfly record at the World Trials. This record eluded him for several years and he wasn't sure if he'd ever get a chance to break it as controversy began to surround his career after a marijuana charge. But this one had to feel great. Phelps broke the record, posting a time of 50.22 seconds. Wow .
